Free Pattern, Square Pin Cushions!

Hello bloggers! Here's another blog with a free pattern!  Once again you would be able to get the pattern on ithinksew! Plus you would be getting additional instructions on how to make round pin cushions!

Cut out the Fabric

Draw the patterns directly onto the wrong side of a single layer of fabric. Cut out the exterior pieces, see Picture 1.

Pin the main panel to the side panels with their right sides together, see Picture 4.

Align the straight edges. Sew one edge at a time, backstitching on both ends, see Pictures 5-6.

Sew the Button

Sew the button onto the center of the cushion using two strands of hand quilting thread. Knot the thread 6-7 times, then sew through to the back of the cushion, see Picture 14.

Sew the remaining button onto the back of the cushion in the same manner, see Picture 15.
Picture 15
Sew back and forth 4 times, see Picture 16.
Picture 16
Wind the excess thread around the button, see Picture 17. Sew it one more time and knot the thread.
