Too many bags these days can't find the sweet spot for the combination of both capacity and portability. Sometimes they're too big, but a hassle to carry. Meanwhile, others are easy to bring around by forsaking real estate. My personal pet peeve with these designs irked me for a while - leaving me with the only choice to design my own!

Winter Season

I want to proudly introduce the Emily Bag tutorials featured by Sew News(UK)! Spread out into a 4 week program, the instruction provide a thorough step-by-step process making the Emily Bag with accompanying YouTube videos. While sorting out what to do this week, I found some of my old Kimono sketches and was heavily inspired by the Woman's Kimono Shoes to make the Winter Woman's Kimono Shoes.

And the other pattern this week, Kath Baby Shoes, is the outcome of my experimentation with several different materials! Suede, leather ties, strong non-skid soles, and even the metal shoelace holes, the project is perfect for experimenting with new materials!

Boots For the Winter

With long & cold winters here in Manitoba, Canada it's very often that I find myself in the mood to make boots & other winter necessities. Thanks to the changing of the season, I had a new wave of inspirations for this week's designs!

In the front of these releases is the Ainsely Suede Boots! Made with easy to access suede, the Ainsely Suede Boots were made for both warmth & a well polished design. Aiming for a modern & refreshing pattern, I wanted to keep the beauty of the winter boots without losing the practicality of warmth - which I think translated very well to the pattern! I would highly recommend using wool felt for the lining to have a more elegant results!

As for the Ember Felt Shoes I was looking for a more beginner friendly project for the upcoming season! Perfect as a gift or for your own baby, the felt shoe design is something I hope you all enjoy it as much as I loved drawing this adorable project!
