Our 8th Anniversary Celebration!

Hi everyone!

I am proud to say now that it has been eight years since I have opened up iThinksew.com!  I officially opened iThinkSew.com on October, 2008 and today is the 8th anniversary week! I can't really believe that it's eight years already. It has very short eight years for me! And since I started I released over 700 designs and with an additional partnering designers! My journey with iThinkSew had become a bigger project than I originally envisioned it. And for that to everyone working with iThinkSew or who have used my pattern designs before, THANK YOU! Without you this would not have been possible and I look forward to another future with everyone!

A Bag for Autumn and New Free Doll Post Cards!~

This fall season had put my mood for some leather. So got myself busy to create all kinds of designs with leather. Ones with full leather pieces, or half a piece, to even ones with just the small partial square! The Darlene Bag was especially inspired by finding the perfect color of suede at my local quilt store. But all three of the bags have been inspired by the colors of the current season!

A Bag to Simplify your Life!

I live in a city, but because it's small, I rarely find myself in traffic or crowds of people. I am accustomed living in smaller cities than the larger ones! Few weeks ago I had to visit one such city for a quick trip. I took the public transit this time around but even though this wasn't my first visit, the whole "busy" atmosphere felt too foreign to me. The simple task of taking out my notepad to jot down notes became a huge task with all the noise and people.

At first, I was convinced a bag design with separate compartments for each purpose. Section for the phone, notepad and pen, tissue, and even one for simple makeup or cream. Yet this became a thing of it's own.

Instead, the Kayla Bag was created! Inspired by a recent design of mine that featured double bags in one, Joanne Bag PDF Pattern, I took this one step further. By adding a simple flap and additional pockets, I believe this will help everyone simplify our ever fast changing lives! I hope it helps!

Summer Season is here!

Recently the days have been getting very hot. And I think it's safe to say most northern hemisphere countries have all been feeling the summer heat by now. With this drastic change in temperature, we have been very adamant about leaving our house and going on trips. Due to this me and my daughter had started on a new travel bag. The Kirstin Bag is one of them.

Wrong materials equals improvised design?

There were several patterns that I had wished to make this week. But unfortunately the fabric that came was not what I was expecting. They were much to light to go with my original plan. To thin to hold up to the original design I had. So I improvised! Check out these new designs!

Tiffany Bag

 By using thick elastic around the bag, I was able to not only create makeshift pleats but enclose the bag in a secure fashion. During this improvisation process I was also inspired to design an additional bag pattern with a deeper pocket. Both of them cane be purchased with the price of one with the The Tiffany Bag!

New Shirts For Myself!

Sometimes it may be quite difficult looking for the right shirt for yourself. I certainly had this problem recently. There were ones that felt quite cheap and others that were just out of tolerable price range. And online shirts rarely helped since they didn't feel quite right when actually worn.
